Children are eagerly waiting for the winter break from school. People usually take family trips to the mountains, do winter sports or go to water parks.
When planning their winter travels, all parents wonder what their children would like to do during that time. A dissatisfied child or, even worse, a frustrated teenager, who refuses to cooperate on a trip is many parent’s worst nightmare. How to choose the ideal place and activity for our children from what is available?
To avoid disappointment during the winter holidays, it’s a good idea to:
– ask your children what they would like to do during the winter holidays and take their opinion seriously
– present 2 or 3 alternative ideas, while also providing your own suggestions
– let your children participate in the decision-making process

The first offers for the winter holidays start appearing as early as in November. This is actually a good time, because organising a trip with children requires a lot of thinking and precise planning. The particularly sought-after family packages involve:
The mountains have always been the most popular destination, not only in Poland, but also in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. People usually go there to do winter sports: downhill skiing, sled riding or snowboarding. Tourists also like staying in Podhale-style highlander cottages with interesting architecture and eating traditional highlander cuisine.

They may not be as attractive as water parks, but they are much less crowded and costly, making them more easily available to big families. Located 50 km from Warsaw, the MSZCZONÓW THERMAL BATHS are famous for their healing waters. Bathing in hot water in snowy weather is a truly great experience. Since the pandemic we have become even more fond of family vacations, but their destinations are different now. We like to pick smaller, less crowded locations not far from home. Slow travel often brings educational benefits, particularly valuable when you are travelling with children. It also allows you to focus more on being here and now and spend some quality spare time with your family.
